MAX BRENNER (Greenbelt 5)

After a rather forgettable meal at Bulgogi Brothers, we decided to go for something on the sweeter side ..... and that means desserts. (this wasn't really my idea since I'm not always that fond of desserts)

I started wih this hot chocolate drink (my cousin ordered the same kind as mine) ....... I actually cannot remember whats the name of the drink we ordrered but I do know that they are supposed to use dark chocolate (so we were half expecting the drink to be on semi-sweet-slightly bitter side). Much to our disappointment, this supposedly dark chocolate drink is overly sweet.

My cousin requested the server that her choclate drink be watered down a bit so as to reduce the sweetness. The server added some milk to the cup. But the mistake was that she used cold milk and that made the chocolate drink from hot to lukewarm.

CHURROS FONDUE
As written in the menu ...... "Crispy warm dough pastry rolled with cinnamon sugar served with melted chocolate fondue, caramel dip and strawberry sauce". (just at the sight of the word fondue and I was already excited)

But when the order arrived, all I see is a plate of dough pastry with chocolate dip and blueberry jam. (I thought the menu said strawberry sauce :angry2: )

Here I am thinking....... where is the "FONDUE" part ??? Where is the pot of boiling (or melted) something ?? I thought I would be getting melted chocolate instead of chocolate syrup. Bottlomline, I think it would be more appropriate if they just call this dessert "Churros with Chocolate and Blueberry Dip" instead of trying to mislead us customers.

  1. Yeah I think so too that the Fondue part is kind of misleading the buyers. It might be a better if they name the dish with your suggestion, Churros with Chocolate and Blueberry Dip.
