PHO HOA (TriNoma Branch)

FRESH SPRING ROLL

With  the exception for the small piece of roast pork, most of  the  ingredients are fresh and comes a bit underseasoned but I guess  thats  where the role of the hoisin sauce comes into play. I have  already  visited this eatery a couple of times already and I always make  sure to  oder this refreshing appetizer.

FRIED SQUID WITH CHILI & GREEN ONION

It's  got a nice salty spicy flavor and the squids themselves were  nicely  cooked. The batter however didn't really stick to the squids so  they  keep falling off.

BEEF STEW NOODLE

My  dad ordered this and I was able to get a small taste ...... At  first  glance, one would think its going to be very spicy because of  the  reddish color. And while it does have a little bit of "heat", its  not  "scorching"

The beef were a little on the tough side and the broth was a little oily.

CHICKEN NOODLE

My mom ordered this, but I forgot to taste it.

HOT & SOUR NOODLE

This  was my order and I didn't make use of the additional components  (like  fresh beansprouts, lemon and I think lemongrass) that accompanied  our  orders.

The  sourness was not in the broth but rather from the pineapple  chunks.  The broth actually is mildly flavored so you can individually  taste more  of the fish and prawns. They played a little safe with the  "heat"  factor but I guess there is always some chili sauce on the side.
